That’s right, Mate! I’m going to Australia over Spring Break to play some golf with my daughter and grandson.
Well, really, I’m going to watch my daughter and grandson run a 5K race in Melbourne, but we are there for ten days so the golf clubs will be with me.
Golf Downunder
I’ll have to practice up on when to say ‘Mate’…or not.
Of course, I’m sure once an Aussie learns I am from Texas they probably will expect me to refer to them as ‘Partner’. Who know…just hope I don’t start some international incident.
As you can tell, I have never been to Australia…but I do what a lot of AcronTv on Netflix. Hopefully, not everything on that network is a wrong depiction of their culture.
Will Cal McGregor Be Caddying?
I suppose I wouldn’t want the Aussies to think that them viewing ‘The Office’ would give them clear insight to how all of us act here in the States.
So, I guess it might not be a good thing to think their show Rake would be a documentary about their culture either. But I will be keeping my eye out for Clever Greene while I am there.
But what about the Golf? Yes, I digested.
I’ll get back to you on where exactly I might play golf there in the Melbourne area. Hopefully, I will get a chance to play at a decent golf course.
Anyone input or feedback on a golf course would be appreciated.
Let me know how I can help.
