Just something about Titleist golf clubs that feel good to me. From the grip to balance to how comfortable they feel during the swing..just has always been the golf clubs I felt good swinging.
I’ve tried almost every golf club..with the exception of the new PGX series of off the chart expensive golf clubs. Probably will be a few years before I can afford a Used set of those clubs.
Back Home with Titleist
However, All roads lead me back to Titleist.
After my recent back and eye surgeries, I found I now need to revamp my golf game. This meant new irons and fairway woods and driver. I felt good with my Scotty Cameron Putter so for the time being, I will stay with Scotty’s best.
Make a Change First
I thought until I got back into a solid grove I would purchase ‘Experienced’ clubs. So I cranked up the 2ndSwing.com site and started shopping. Well, this got my wife involved and before I knew it she had gotten me a Titleist 915D2 for Father’s day and a set of 716 AP1 irons for my Birthday…which has gotten here yet.
Last week I got to take them out for a journey around the course for 9 holes and it was just like Going Home when I swung the Titleist clubs. However, being out of shape and with all my muscle memory gone after all my surgeries my scoring suffered…but…they felt so good.
Then dang-it…Scotty Cameron comes out with his new Concept X putter and like a Zombie I’m off to the Titleist Website check it out.
Wonderful looking putter. I usually do not go for the latest or greatest until it has been out a year, but..dang-it… I just might have to change my ways for this putter. I probably will be one of the hundreds in line on August 31 when that mad boy gets to town.
Until then…I’m off to Minnesota with my Titleist bag of Titleist clubs to see how they work. At the very least I know I can use them to swat off mosquitos.
I’ll give you a report when I get back..and YES..I will be stopping by 2ndSwings St Paul store while I am there.
