Everyone once in a long while there is an event I am asked to attend that I will agree to attending because..well…it’s totally different!. The event I squeezed into my scheduled today was the attempt to break the Guinness World’s Record for the longest drive of a golf ball by the world’s longest driver. And fortunately, it was done at around 10:20AM on Dec 6, 2012. Here is the video I took of the shots that lead to the record being broken.
Video documentation of Michael Furrh, Caddie master at Caddie Club Golf and Assistant Pro at Rolling Hills Country Club breaking the World Record for the longest usable golf club. Michael hit his 14 ft 2.5 in driver a carry distance of 146 yds, measured on a TrackMan® device at Hank Haney Golf at the Lakes at Castle Hills. Thanks to all those who showed up to support us!
