That is right. I, Mr Business Golf, will be in Las Colinas, Texas, at the 2011 HP Byron Nelson Championship Media Center Blogging, Podcasting, videocasting, taking photos and who knows what all, the entire week of the ‘Nelson’. Of course the event is held at the TPC Four Seasons. Starting Monday, May23, 2011 you can look for my first Blog straight from the Media Center.
So, to get in practice I thought I would interview myself. As corny as that sounds..it does make sense. Who else could interview the Jedi Knight of Business Golf than Mr Business Golf himself.
How do I feel about being part of the Media at the Byron Nelson?
MBG: I am Epically Amped (said that in case Rickey Fowler, Hunter Mahan or any of the young guns are reading) about my first Media gig at a PGA event. Of course I have been to many of the PGA events and LPGA events..even did play-byplay on Twitter for the 2008 US Open, but never have been inside the Media Center with official Press Credentials. Plus, with the event being right here in my backyard in Dallas, Texas, makes it even more special.
What are your plans for the week?
MBG: Well, having walked the TPC at the Four Seasons watching the event for about the past 12 years I think I will probably take a break from all that and spend a lot of time looking around at how things in the Media Center run. I know I will be drawn to get people’s views on Business Golf so I will be covering how Business Golf is played during one of these PGA Tour events. This should produce some interesting results.
Anyone particular you are planning on interviewing?
MBG: Whoever wants to be interviewed for sure but I know I will be looking for both the professional golfer and business people who are active in the making of the event.
What kind of format are you using to report from the Nelson?
MBG: I will naturally be on my Android tied to Facebook all day and I might even go over to Twitter from time to time to see if anyone is there. I also will be doing Podcasts and videocasts if I have a chance. And of course all my reports will be place on the Mr Business Golf Blog.
Who is your favorite to win the Nelson?
MBG: Fred Couples!..oh wait he is not going to be here. Seriously, Right now, who will win is wide open. The field of quality players coming to the Nelson is so deep it will probably be Friday before anyone can tell who is going to sifted out of this many outstanding players. So I will let you know on Cut day my pick.
Well, OK, that was my very first interview for the 2011 HP Byron Nelson Championship. Yes, I need to practice some more..so let me go get ready and you get ready for my reports from the Byron Nelson staring Monday, May 23, 2011.
