Can someone bring me a Mojito? Yes, it has been one of those days. Long, HOT but rewarding.
I like it when something that started two months ago finally comes together as a positive beginning. That was what Carl Brandt, Business Golf Country Club member, and I met today on that generated all the exciting announcement today at the BGCC.
Back in April, Carl contacted me about getting together to chat about the BGCC and how he would like to help. Of course, I was for sure going to make that happen. He flew down here from New York where we played a serious round of Business Golf which ended with a tentative agreement of him being interested in managing the New York Chapter of the BGCC.
Carl went back to New York to wrestle around the idea and today during our ‘Hash It Out’ meeting accepted the position of Club Manager of the Business Golf Country Club’s New York Chapter. Now that calls for a drink doesn’t it?
A Little Texas in New York
Never in my wildest dreams would I think four years ago I would be talking about opening up a Business Golf Networking Club in New York. I guess I had better get use to it quickly since Carl is ready to go. He wants to launch the inaugural gathering by the end of August and have the first New York Club blowout in September. I like a guy who has a plan and backs the plan up with a plan that was planned when he met me in May.
I know the members of the BGCC in the New York area are going to really enjoy the Chapter Club. The BGCC Chapter Club concept has a different approach to how other golf networking groups approach using golf as a business tool. The first difference is the BGCC is a Club, not a Group. You will have to join to see and feel the difference.
There will be no horn blowing to single networking has begun or stopped, there be not hit and giggle driving range gatherings and there the monthly club gatherings will not be veiled golf outings. Each of the BGCC functions will have at least a 9 Hole round of golf, a Cocktail Networking opportunity, FOOD, and an educational activity. So if it is golf, networking, food or a business learning experience…the BGCC has all that covered.
This is not to mention the Online opportunity each member will be offered. The BGCC method of business golf is through the use of a more balanced operational style of social media. The power of the BGCC way of doing things is it is focused, management and drive. The BGCC mission is to develop a greater purpose to playing golf than the recreational activity many feel golf can only be.
Strong Business Environment
The New York area is a powerhouse of business people and has some of the best golf clubs in the world. The Members of the BGCC will be offered a great opportunity to play the best courses, hang out at the clubhouse and learn something new about themselves or business each month.
If you would like to be a member of the New York Chapter Club, you will first need to become a member of the Business Golf Country Club. Once approved as a member you will receive information on Chapter Club activities. At that time, get ready for full throttle New York Style Business Golf.
Look for more information on the BGCC New York Chapter Club to be posted on the Business Golf Country Club member site, the BGCC Blog Site, the BGCC Facebook Fan Page and right here. And who knows..you may even see me in New York…Yeah! Weirder things have happened. And of course, let me know how I can help.
