Its is true business networking has drastically changed over the past year. I am glad to see the ‘One Minute Elevator Speech’ finally go. As impatient as most business people are and as crowded as the business networking arena is getting, you are lucky to get one word out about what you do before someone shuts you down because they either are not interested or just left another business networking event where three people were doing the exact same thing.
Business Networking is needed now more now than ever. There are some outstanding business opportunities, jobs, products services and people out in the marketplace right now either trying to find a job, pitch what they have to the market or, like me, out to help where they can.
The focus now is not on what you do, who you know or what your business does it is what problem do you or your business solve. Not many people think this way. Most people have been trained to market what they do by creating an entertaining theme around a jingle or rehearsed speech. That method of standing up to tell everyone in ear shout what you do is..like my younger clients would to tell me.. ‘is so 20 minutes ago’.
Telling someone the problem you solve seems too impersonal to most people. However, if done correctly can produce more than the interrupted one minute commercial many people never get to finish because of the way irrelevant information is attempted being delivered.
I recommend everyone take a look at what problem they or their business solve. Ask yourself this question… What problem do you or your business solves and see what your answer is. Then use that in the next business networking group introduction or Online profile.
For example, what problem does the Business Golf Country Club offer solutions to and how are the solutions delivered?
The problem the BGCC solves is eliminating wasted time. The BGCC eliminates golfers and business golfers from having to prance around the internet looking for their target market. Business people and consumers spend a lot of time online looking for their market or for a product that is in the golf industry. The BGCC houses a community of consumers as well as vendors for every type of business, including the golf professions. If what you are looking for is not in the BGCC, the membership will tell you where to find it.
Problem solving is what the BGCC is all about. Everyone who is a member has been down some road that many other business people and golfers have not. So when it comes time to cut to the chase the Business Golf Country Club solves that big problem.
Join the Club now. All you need to be a member is to be a golfer, in business and have a photo of your self to post. Click on the link to check out the BGCC. Business Golf Country Club “where golf and business merge”
